My New Home

As I alluded to in the last post, there is a good reason why it's been so long since I've posted anything. As many of you know - right before I went home for Christmas I found a new apartment here in NYC. And since my roommate and I would be moving out of our place at the end of January, we decided to cancel our cable and internet early. So for the past few weeks I have been without the internet at my apartment and also without television. Let me just tell you that the past few weeks have been really hard on me.

But today, all that changed. I FINALLY got my internet and cable set up at my new place! So I can finally share with you all my moving adventures.

On January 16, I returned from a week long training for work in DC to one of the busiest weekends I've had. Because of various reasons, I was moving out of my old apartment the next day and I had NOTHING packed. Thankfully Jo was willing to come over and help me pack. What a life saver!! I don't think I could have gotten everything done without her.

While I was packing I learned a few things about myself:
I have a LOT of purses..I have even more necklaces...and I have about a hundred pairs of shoes.

The next day, I had some wonderful friends help me move into my new apartment. Although I didn't have too much stuff, it was still a job because I went from a fifth floor walk up to the fourth floor of a walk up. So I was VERY grateful for the help of my friends. They are so great!!! Thanks to all of you who came out in the freezing cold to help me. Oh - and was it cold!! It was one of the coldest days NY has seen. Brrrr!

I have now been in my apartment for two weeks and I LOVE it! A lot of people were worried that I would get lonely without roommates, but I'm really enjoying my own space. I can watch whatever I want, I can sing at the top of my lungs, I can laugh out loud at my cheesy tv shows/movies, and I can dance around the place at all times. Now you all know what I do in my spare time :).

I can't hardly wait to decorate and make my place really my own. I have great plans for my small apartment. But that will have to wait until after April 15 (work is starting to get busy). So for now I'll have to live with plain white walls.

My Christmas...a month late

Wow! It's been a while. I do have good reason for that which will be discussed in next post. But I just wanted to quickly share with you what I did to celebrate Christmas last year. That's right...just a month late. No biggie. Here are some pics of my adventures:

These are just a few pics of what I did over the Christmas holiday. This past Christmas was so much fun being with my family!

A bad sign...or is it?

Last night I spent an hour playing Yahtzee by myself. Then Scrabble for 30 minutes. And then I took a whack at Phase 10 (yes - I played all ten rounds).
What's going to happen when I no longer have roommates? At least we know that I can entertain myself.

A hot new look

I just quickly wanted to post the HOT new look that Rob Pattinson is sporting now. I know a bunch of girls were obsessed about his long hair, but OMG!! This new look has me swooning even more than I was before. Good move Rob!

Wow - I really need to stop posting! Three posts in three days...out of hand. But I had to share this with everyone. Tonight I discovered that I was magic (and a dork...but I guess I already knew that). Anyway...here's a video about what I discovered. Enjoy!

Good News!!

I found an apartment!! I'm SOOOO excited about this place! I wasn't able to sleep at all last night because I was so excited about it and also a little worried that someone would swoop in and take it out from under me. But I talked with the landlord today and he ran my credit check and then tonight he sent over the lease!!! I'm paying a security deposit tomorrow to hold my spot while I'm in Utah for Christmas and then when I get back I'll turn in the signed lease and get my keys!! It's a really great and pretty spacious (by NYC standards). I'll be living in a different neighborhood, but I like the area I'm moving to. Anyway...I just wanted to share this good news with everyone mainly because I'm super excited!!
